Continuing to the ABOUT US LINK, we Outline the EXPECTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES for Both Players and Parents. We Describe just what it means to be apart of this Special Organization, Duke's Lacrosse Club. 

DUKE'S MISSION STATEMENT

We are a special group of people and players. Each player is Hand Picked and Selected for both his Lacrosse Talent and Skill Sets as well as WHO he is as a PERSON.  A Duke's player is an Individual of High Moral Integrity representing the Values not only of our Duke's Organization but also those of his Family, School, Church & Community.

Being a Member of the Duke's Elite Youth and High School All - Star Teams asks players to Pledge themselves to a Higher Accountability that Demands they be a Better Person then they are a player through example and a standard of conduct at all times. 

A Duke's player Represents all aspects of his Lacrosse Experience including Tradition, Sportsmanship, Community and so much more. He must be willing to Live up to this Mission Statement in Deed and Thought and let it Guide him as a player and person.  He must be willing to Challenge himself IN THE CLASSROOM AND ON THE FIELD even when he doesn't think it's possible so he can ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE with his GRADES and ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE in his PLAY while always reaching Inwardly for a Deep Reservoir of HEART and DETERMINATION to Guide him. 

DEPTH CHART

OPEN Competition creates the Depth Chart....

The Depth Chart is a changing dynamic based on Performance so a Player can MOVE UP or MOVE DOWN the Depth Chart based on how he Performs and how he COMPETES.

Competing in Tournaments is Primary for Depth Chart Positioning but Competition thru Multi Tryouts, June/August Evals and the Ricky Whelan Clinics all Offer Opportunities for Players to be seen and CONSTANTLY EVALUATED for the Depth Chart. 

Players of any Age from 3rd Grade to 12th Grade, who are Selected as AUTOMATIC ADDS to Join the Duke's Lacrosse Club Player Roster COMPETE to Participate at the Highest Level possible regardless of their age. Remember that the Depth Chart is TALENT BASED NOT AGE BASED so COMPETITION is Key in Player Positioning.

Finally, most Importantly,  with COMPETITION as the Primary Criteria for how Player's are Selected to join the Duke's Organization and the Duke's Team Player Roster; there is no such thing as a Travel Line.
The Depth Chart Combined with an Invitation and Availability are the sole Mechanisms we Utilize for Player Participation at Tournament Events.

DUKE'S TEAM RULES

Be ON TIME for all meetings, practices and games.

BE PREPARED and ready to play in all practices and games.

BE EXCEPTIONAL and WORK HARD in the CLASSROOM.

If you have a Question, a Problem, don't Understand Something; are Sick, Hurt or going to be Late then COMMUNICATE.

Always Examine and Take a PERSONAL INVENTORY of Yourself and make sure you Set Individual and Team Goals for Every Practice and Tournament Event .

PLAY SMART and show PATIENCE but make sure you play with AGGRESSION AND INTENSITY.  BE PHILLY TOUGH !

Have FUN, look to IMPROVE your game but EXPECT TO WIN!!
