Continuing to the ABOUT US LINK, we Outline the EXPECTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES for Both Players and Parents. We Describe just what it means to be apart of this Special Organization, Duke's Lacrosse.
DUKE'S MISSION STATEMENT
We are a special group of people and players. Each player is Hand Picked and Selected for both his Lacrosse Talent and Skills Sets as well as WHO he is as a PERSON. A Duke's player is an Individual of High Moral Integrity representing the Values not only of our Duke's Organization but also those of his Family, School, Church and Community.
Being a Member of the Duke's Elite High School All-Star Team asks players to Pledge themselves to a Higher Accountability that Demands they be a Better Person then they are a player through example and a standard of conduct at all times.
A Duke's player Represents all aspects of his Lacrosse Experience including Tradition, Sportsmanship, Community and so much more. He must be willing to Live up to this Mission Statement in Deed and Thoughts and let it Guide him as a player and person. He must be willing to Challenge himself IN THE CLASSROOM AND ON THE FIELD even when he doesn't think it's possible so he can ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE with his GRADES and ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE in his PLAY while always reaching Inwardly for a Deep Reservoir of HEART and DETERMINATION to Guide him.
OPEN Competition creates the Depth Chart....
The Depth Chart is a Changing Dynamic based on Performance so you won't just be Locked into a Specific Spot. You can Go UP or DOWN the Depth Chart based on How you COMPETE.
Aside from Tournament Competition both Tryouts and Ricky Whelan Clinics Offer players the Opportunity to not only be seen and CONSTANTLY EVALUATED for Depth Chart Positioning but a player can Actually MOVE UP OR MOVE DOWN based on his Level of play and
As an Early AUTOMATIC ADD player of any age or for any Young players or New Add players of any age; COMPETING decides where you stand on the Depth Chart.
Remember, the Duke's Organization is TALENT BASED NOT AGE BASED.
Players can be added to the Duke's Team Roster and the Depth Chart Pool of Player's anytime a player comes out and COMPETES at a Tryout, EVAL Clinic or any Ricky Whelan Clinic. Once you have Earned the Opportunity to Join Duke's Lacrosse Club from one of these Competition Events, please know that we DO NOT use any kind of a Travel Line and Players Participate in Tournament Events based on both Invitation and Availability.
