COVID HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES
2021 SUMMER EVENTS
• Adrenaline will follow the most current CDC guidelines and will require that its attending players,
coaches, spectators, referees, and staff abide by those guidelines.
• Any person who is in a high-risk category as determined by the CDC, whether due to age or pre-existing
condition, is strongly discouraged from attending any Adrenaline events.
• Any person with a fever or exhibiting any of the COVID symptoms is NOT permitted to enter the facility,
even if this means loss of opportunity to play in or view/games.
• Any person who has recently been exposed to someone confirmed to have COVID or exhibiting COVID
symptoms within the 10 days prior to the event is NOT permitted to enter the facility, even if this means
loss of opportunity to play in or view games.
• Any person at the event who begins to exhibit COVID symptoms or a temperature while at the facility
must exit the facility immediately.
• Sharing of water coolers, bottles or cups at an event is prohibited. There will NOT be any communal
water available at the fields or anywhere at the facility. Be prepared in case no vendors are present and
bring your own hydration.
• There will be no post-game handshakes between opposing players.

TOURNAMENT RULEBOOK
I. AGE DIVISION GUIDELINES
ADRENALINE AGE DIVISIONS – Fall/Winter 2020 - Summer 2021
GRAD YEAR DESCRIPTION
Elite - 2022/2023/2024 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th Grade. No High School graduates permitted.
High School - 2023/2024 9th & 10th Grade ONLY!
2025 Generally 8th Grade. NO players currently in High School are eligible for this division. Exceptions made for Canadian players.
2026 7th Grade
2027 6th Grade
2028/2029 4th & 5th Grade
2030/2031/2032 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade
II. ROSTER RULES
a. Players cannot be rostered with 2 different clubs.
b. If a club director needs a player to play on more than one roster within his/her club, he must be rostered on both/all rosters. Older players cannot play down.
c. No High School graduates although players doing a PG year may be eligible but must be approved in writing by Adrenaline prior to the event. Players who graduated in 2020 and are not enrolled in
college for Fall 2020 are also eligible.
d. Any team that does not submit their roster prior to the event will not be permitted to play.
e. PLAYERS MAY NOT PLAY DOWN FOR ANY REASON. If it is determined that a team had an older player participate in a game, that game (if won) will result in a 0-1 forfeit. If this happens on
day one, that team will become ineligible for the playoffs on day two. This kind of behavior will also affect the guilty club’s eligibility for future Adrenaline events.
III. ROSTER SUBMISSION
a. Each coach will be sent a blank Adrenaline Roster template to fill out. All information MUST be completed in the format provided.
b. All preliminary rosters must be submitted to Adrenaline at least two weeks prior to the event. Changes can be made to this roster up to one week prior to the event.
c. Roster binders will be given to the Adrenaline Evaluation Team (AET), who will be onsite, scouting for players to invite to Adrenaline recruiting events. These binders will also be given to
college recruiters at recruiting events.
d. Roster updates or changes submitted after this time may not be reflected in the AET binders and players may not be evaluated as a result.
IV. CHALLENGE MATCHES
a. Even if your team does not make the playoffs you will have scheduled Challenge Matches. ALL TEAMS ARE GUARANTEED 2 GAMES ON THE FINAL DAY OF THE EVENT!
b. Please check the Sunday schedule for ALL matches and make sure you do not depart before a scheduled game. Departing before all games are complete will affect that club’s eligibility for
future Adrenaline events.
c. If for some reason you are unable to play a scheduled day two matchup please let us know at the Information Tent by 8:00am Sunday morning. If you can not attend your scheduled games and do
not make the Information Tent aware, it will affect that club’s eligibility for future Adrenaline events.
V. TOURNAMENT RULES
a. Referees will keep game time and table personnel will keep penalty time.
b. Decisions on the field will be final ruling. Tournament Director has the final say in any dispute. No disputes will be heard after the game.
c. All teams are responsible for picking up trash on their sideline after the game.
VI. GAME RULES
a. NFHS Rules with the following exceptions
i. Time, Penalties, and Timeouts
1. Pool play, playoff and consolation games start every 50 minutes. Regulation Play will consist of (2) two, (22) twenty two minute running halves with a (2) two minute halftime.
2. Clock will stop in final (2) two minutes for injuries and penalty assessment only.
3. All penalties will be running time and be served as time and a half. The penalty clock will begin when the official blows the whistle to restart play. Technical fouls which are
typically 30 second are 45 seconds, and personal fouls which are typically 60 seconds are 90 seconds.
4. Any player who accumulates 4 personal fouls or 5 minutes in personal foul penalty time shall be disqualified from the game. A foul disqualification does NOT count as an ejection.
5. In playoff games only, each team will receive one 30 second timeout at which time the clock will stop. Live ball timeouts must be called with possession in the offensive end of the
restraining line. Dead ball timeouts can be called during any dead ball situation. Timeouts will not carry over to overtime. If a team does not return to the field in a prompt
manner after the timeout, they will either lose possession of the ball or be assessed a delay of game penalty.
ii. Overtime
1. In Pool Play, there will be one (1), three (3) minute sudden victory period and if the game is still tied after the sudden victory period, the game ends in a tie for all divisions. In
Playoffs, Elite & HS divisions will play OT until a goal is scored and the 1st-8th grade divisions will play three minutes of OT then end with a Braveheart if the score is still tied.
iii. Mercy Rule
1. No Mercy Rule for 9th grade and above
2. Mercy Rule only for 8th grade and below
iv. Stick Checks
1. Stick checks can only be made at the official’s discretion.
v. Failure to Advance
1. 30 Seconds to get the ball in the box for 9th grade division and above.
2. No Failure to advance for 8th grade and below.
3. No automatic “keep it in” during the last two minutes at any level.
4. Stalling is up to the referee’s discretion and can call “keep it in” at any time.
vi. Over & Back
1. Over & Back only applies for 9th grade and above.
2. No Over & Back for 8th grade and below.
b. GRADE 4-8 & 1-3 DIVISIONS WILL ADHERE TO NFHS & US LACROSSE YOUTH RULES WITH THE FOLLOWING VARIATIONS:
i. Grades 4-8
1. Stick Length: The length of the stick for field players shall be 37 to 42 inches (short stick) or 52 to 72 (long stick).
2. Mercy Rule: At any point during a game when there is a six-goal lead, the trailing team will be given the ball at the midfield line in lieu of a face-off as long as the six-goal lead is
maintained, unless waived by the coach of the trailing team.
3. Failure to advance: There is NO count to advance the ball.
4. Over & Back: There is NO over & back rule.
5. Final 2 minutes of regulation: There is NO automatic “keep it in” rule.
6. NO one handed checks. Contact with player must be made for this to be a penalty.
VII. ALTERCATIONS & REPERCUSSIONS
a. If a player is ejected from a game by an official for fighting or otherwise, that player will sit out the remainder of that game plus the following game.
b. If a fan enters the field of play to confront a player or an official, that fan may be banned from the tournament and the facility for the remainder of the event.
c. If a team clears their bench to engage in an altercation, that team may be dismissed from the tournament. In the case that a team is dismissed, any games the team has played will be stricken
from the tournament standings.
d. The Tournament Director reserves the right to suspend any player, team or fan for any number of games, or from the event entirely, upon further review of the altercation details.
VIII. SCORING
a. One referee at each game will hold the official scorecard for the game, and the field staff at the substitution box will keep the unofficial score as backup.
b. At the end of each game, the referee will record the official score and the field staff representative will have both the winning and losing coaching sign the score card. The scorecard will
be delivered by an Adrenaline representative to the Information Tent. The signed scorecards will be considered final and it is the coach’s responsibility to carefully read the scorecard before
signing it.
c. All scores will be recorded on Tourney Machine.
IX. RANKING CRITERIA
a. Points will be awarded after each game in the following matter AS IT PERTAINS TO RANKINGS:
i. 3 points for a win
ii. 1 point for a tie
iii. 0 points for a loss
b. Tiebreakers-
i. If 2 teams tied:
1. Head to Head
2. Goals Against total
3. Head to Head common opponent.
4. Goals Against common opponent. If multiple common opponents take sum.
5. Goal Differential common opponent. Ten goal differential max per game. If multiple common opponents take the sum.
6. Coin Toss
ii. If more than 2 teams tied:
1. Goals Against total
2. Goals Against common opponent – only if they all played a common opponent. If they all played multiple common opponents take the sum.
3. Goal Differential common opponent – only if they all played a common opponent. Ten goal differential max per game. If they all played multiple common opponents take the sum.
4. Coin Toss round robin
a. A v B
b. B v C
c. A v C
5. In a situation where two teams have played each other head to head, the team who won that game will move ahead of the team that they defeated regardless of goals against. This is only if the
teams are adjacent in the rankings (for example #2 and #3, but not #1 and #3) and teams may only move up one spot. If a team has beaten BOTH teams ahead of them but is third in goals
against, they may only move up one spot from #3 to #2.
c. Odd divisions
i. If there is a division with an odd number of teams, one team will be designated with a 4th game as an Exhibition Game.
ii. The Exhibition Game will not count toward the teams’ record, points for or points against for the team that is playing this 4th game, but head to head criteria will remain intact. For
example, if Team A defeats Team B, and it is an Exhibition Game for team A, although the game will not be on Team A’s record or count towards their points for or points against, if both teams end up
with the same record Team A will be ranked ahead of Team B per first tie breaker criteria of head to head.
X. REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
c. Teams and players NOT registered and paid will NOT be permitted to play.
XI. TEAM CANCELLATIONS
a. If you must withdrawal your registration from a tournament please notify events@adrln.com.
b. Registration fees are non-refundable.
